The Dirty Dozen...and Clean 15

Check it out ladies and gents....a list that will do you well!

The Environmental Working Group (yes, I heart them) is working to keep you healthy and your exposure to toxic pesticides down. So they have compiled a list of fruits and veggies with the highest levels of pesticides (which means you should go organic on those) and those with the least amounts of pesticides.

FYI:  Pesticides are toxic by design. They are created expressly to kill living organisms -- insects, plants, and fungi that are considered "pests." Many pesticides pose health dangers to people. These risks have been established by independent research scientists and physicians across the world.

As acknowledged by U.S. and international government agencies, different pesticides have been linked to a variety of health problems, including:

--brain and nervous system toxicity
--cancer
--hormone disruption [We don't like that term 'round here]!
--skin, eye and lung irritation
